  • Discuss the process of preserving "old" artifacts, i.e. petrifying, fossilization, etc.
  • Discuss the various chemicals used to preserve artifacts
  • Discuss the ways that exposure to natural elements "breakdown" artifacts, i.e., moisture, body oils, and oxygen.
